Flag Retirement and Fish Fry

To honor Flag Day 2010, The Colony Post 21 of the American Legion will conduct an American Flag Retirement Ceremony on Saturday June 12, 2010 at Lions Club Park, 4800 Nash Dr in The Colony, TX starting at 12:00 noon.

Following the ceremony, the Sons of The American Legion will hold a community fish fry which will continue until 6:00pm.

American Heroes: A Salute To Veterans

Every Veteran's Day, The Legion family partners with The City of The Colony for our American Heroes event. This event starts with a 5K and 10K fun run in the morning and ends with a spectacular fireworks show.

JROTC Competition

The Colony Hgh School's JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer's Training) is more than a program based on military service. It is a program designed to encourage high school students to become better citizens in all aspects of thier lives, whether in business, secondary education or any other career - JROTC is about developing the whole person.

TCHS JROTC participates in, and hosts, several activivites for cadets trhoughout the year, one of them being the American Legion Texas State Championship Skills Meet - which draws over 400 partcicpants from Texas and the southwest region of the U.S.
